With lighter bullets you may actually run out of powder space with 7828, but a little compression is a good thing with most slow powders.Īs to primers, use whatever is on hand. ![]() I particularly like the consistency of IMR7828SSC, so I would probably start with that one. Any of the four starting with H4831 through RL25 are good candidates for higher velocity in your 7mm RM. When I was loading for the 7mm RM I used H4831 (signficantly slower than IMR 4831). Of the powders you list, here is the approximate order of burning rate: IMR 4350, RL19, IMR 4831, H4831, RL22, IMR7828, RL25 ![]() ![]() The 7mm RM can use some pretty slow powders.
